I have a love for great sounding music and much more for working on great sounding records.
I first became involved in Mastering and cutting records for Irish and International bands and DJ/Producers in late 2004 on a Presto 6N manual lathe which I brought in from Russia and loving restored to working standard, which now has a home in a youth center in The Hague teaching younger people to cut their records and keeping the art alive. After a number of years I have moved onto cutting on a world famous Neumann VMS70 stereo cutting lathe system. My studio is purpose built from the ground up for mastering and is designed for a neutral envoirment.
I also have a keen interest in electronic systems. I have built many units for my studio using top industry components. The latest of which is the "Barry Porter NETEQ", which is used as a correctional EQ in my desk. I find a lot of zen in my solder iron and enjoy winding down with it and a cup of coffee.
I enjoy been out in the field as well as been in my studio. From time to time you can find me teaching local courses and lecturing at local collages about audio mastering and the trip falls within the music industry.
I have been involved in the music industry for over 12 years now, working as a mix engineer, a live engineer, mastering engineer and a session musician. I have also worked with many top 40 artist and have many top 10 albums and singles in Ireland and across Europe. I am also an avid supporter of Independent Labels, Bands and Collectives and try to help out as many of these however I can.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. Fill out the contact form and I will get back in touch ASAP.

At CHR we offer a range offfer a range of services to suit your needs. Below you will find a listing and explanation of what we offer.
To commercially release your music to CD you need to create a master that follows the 'Red Book' CD standard. We can create that master for you.
As well as dramatically improving the sound quality of your music and getting the level between the tracks to match perfectly, we will sequence your tracks in the right order and edit them to create a smooth and enjoyable musical experience.
The master created can be delivered to you as a physical CD-DA master or as a DDP image file set.
Either way your master will comply to the Red Book standard and be ready to use for duplication or replication.
When mastering from stems you will submit multiple stereo tracks that have consolidated instruments. For example an artist might submit 4 stereo wav files ( One containing all guitars, one with lead vocals, one with drums, and one with background vocals, etc.. ). Our engineer would then work with each stem to set frequencies, adjust levels, and correct any imperfections. When finished the stems are combined and the final song is then mastered. Since we have access to separated groups of instruments there are more options for the engineer to make fine adjustments and correct problems.
We can also prepare your music for cutting to Vinyl. We will master your songs to their best in order to get optimal performances and the best sound quality results once on vinyl.
The master will be delivered to you as a High Definition file. We will usually supply one sequenced file per side to use for the vinyl cut.
In house vinyl cutting will be available in the coming months.....
Audio restoration is the process of improving the sound quality of a recording. We use EQ, phase optimization, clip restoration, channel and level re-balancing, noise removal, and other techniques. Generally, audio restoration is done for CD mastering, forensic purposes, or even personal reasons. The intended use will determine the extent and method of the restoration.
Automatic Dialogue Replacement.
Dubbing, mixing, or re-recording is a post-production process used in filmmaking and video production in which additional or supplementary recordings are "mixed" with original production sound to create the finished soundtrack.
